  • Parking: Our beautiful studio is in a small neighborhood known as the Patch, on an island in the canal. Children play in the streets, so we must keep traffic and noise down. Please park in the bike trail parking lot on the right just before the bridge into the Patch, then cross the bridge on foot.

ANDREA CHESNES

STUDIO OWNER AND TEACHER

Andrea Chesnes is a 1000-hour E-RYT Iyengar (hatha) yoga teacher who has also trained in vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga. She has maintained a deep Vipassana meditation & Zen practice since 2013. Andrea has taught yoga since 2011 and meditation since 2018, and in 2019, she won The Valley Advocate’s Best Yoga Teacher award. Her practice is filled with mindfulness and laughter, creating an atmosphere of joy in her classes.

CAROLINE BRUNO

TEACHER

Caroline is a facilitator and educator off the mat and began teaching yoga after completing Root’s 200 hour teacher training.  Caroline first practiced yoga as a teen following VHS tapes with her mom.  It took years of circling through movement practices before she found her way back to yoga at Root studio. Classes with Caroline ground into the Earth’s energy to access stability and play through breath and movement.

SARA RIDDINGTON

TEACHER

Sara’s yoga practice emphasizes spine, joint, & muscle health and overall well-being. Her carefully structured classes, informed by her work as a registered nurse, will help you find your body’s innate power to heal & to grow in strength & flexibility. 

JAMIE SIMPSON

TEACHER

In Jamie’s classes, students use Jill Miller’s Yoga Tune Up therapy balls to melt aches & pains throughout the body, re-aligning the breath and physical body to optimize practice on and off the mat. He is a longtime yoga practitioner, licensed massage therapist, & certified Roll Model Method practitioner. He brings a gentle & restorative approach to the practice, infused with a healthy dose of humor. He completed a RYT-200 training in 2014 at South Boston Yoga, and again in 2025 here at the Root.
